Spatial investigation of soil penetration resistance and its impacts on cultivation of ‘BRS Princesa’ banana

The present study aimed to investigate the spatial variability of soil penetration resistance (SPR) in cultivation areas ‘BRS Princesa’ banana, evaluate its effects on chemical and physical attributes indicate localized management. experiment was carried out an area which 60 georeferenced points were recorded. SPR measured from cone index 0.40 m depth using impact penetrometer. Disturbed samples collected at depths 0-0.05, 0.05-0.10, 0.10-0.20 0.20-0.40 pH, Ca, Mg, Al, Na, K, P, H + SB, T Value, V%, total sand, clay, silt, TOC, POC, MAOC gravimetric moisture determined. data subjected descriptive statistics, Pearson’s linear correlation geostatistical analysis. values subsurface suggest greater compaction significant correlations with losses for banana plants, so management should be out.
